So sad:

I'll add some additional commentary later.

I think both sides are wrong in this video. While I disagreed with the speakers concerning their stance on legal protection for homosexuals, I also disagree with the protestors that the speakers were preaching hate or discrimination. They just don't believe as the prostestors do. And they weren't saying homosexuality was a choice, they were saying living a homosexual lifestyle is a choice. Which it is. A person can either be engaged in homosexual behavior/activity or not. That is a choice, and I believe that was clearly what the speakers meant. I heard no referrence to a person's orientation being a choice, as the protestors wanted to argue. Either way, what I see from this video is clearly intolerence from people on both sides of the issue, and that truly is sad. Here are people who could sit down together and peacefully discuss their differences and maybe even work things out. Instead they'd rather twist what the other is saying and resort to name calling and the like.

I will agree that neither side had the best arguments.

If I take you correctly, you are not opposed to the ordinance, correct?

What I suppose really got me riled up was the guy who assumed one of the protesters was gay based on the way he talked. It touched a nerve. I'll be posting about it soon, but I'm a bit overwhelmed with work and social obligations.

I agree 100% with both Brandon and freelance.

As a born again Christian who struggles with SSA, I sort of feel like I am a bridge between two groups. Anyone out there who is like me, we need to stand up and be a bridge between the two, because things are just going to get worse.
